The Father Austin L. Ryder Council #9407 is hosted by Saint Lawrence the Martyr Roman Catholic Church in the Fairfax County of Northern Virginia. The Council meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at Saint Lawrence's Father Hammond Parish Center. Council meetings are preceded by a communal praying of the Rosary starting at 7:10PM. Generally, the first meeting of the month is a formal business meeting. The second meeting is
intended to be an informal meeting to educate, entertain, and to offer all members an opportunity to socialize.
The affiliated Marian Assembly #2331 of Fourth Degree Knights meets at the same location on the second Thursday of each month.
The Father Ryder Council was founded in 1985 through the efforts of Knights who were parishioners of Saint Lawrence Church. It is named after Father Austin L. Ryder, a pastor of Saint Lawrence. It works closely with the Saint Lawrence Parish, providing funds and services
for various parish, Council and community projects.
